Grapefruit Moon Concert
I played with Yoshihiro Goseki , who is a saxophone player, on the 26th at "Grapefruit Moon".
This time Tetsuji Tsuji and Yuichi Nagao, who play using laptops, joined us as guests. This is the first time I've played with them, so I couldn't imagin what would happen, but after we had started playing, we enjoyed making music together.
The next day, I listened to the recording of the concert. The combination of sounds was interesting. It was like watching a space with watercolors being painted on it.

Aoi
I did a rehearsal with Aoi for the first time in a long time.
She is a vocalist in " Moony Mousse"( you can hear her voice in sample 3 on my homepage) and in other groups. She hasn't played for a year, but she gave me a call last month, and she said she wants play again.
I was waiting for her on the platform of Ike-no-ue when she appeared dragging a big piece of luggage struggling like crazy. It was a Harp ! Recently she has started learning to play the harp.
It charmed her, and she told me she wants to play it with us. I think it's a good idea because the sound of the harp suits her voice and mood.
We talked about our music and how we are going to find new approaches, choosing songs and looking for new forms. I guess it might take a little time make it more complex and play it, but I'd like to plant something which starts to grow step by step.

At Kokubunji Station
Oh no ! My wallet !! As I got onto the "express Chuo-line"train, I saw my wallet laying on the platform through the window of the train door. I must have dropped it when I was putting it in my pocket.
What could I do? The passengers around me were looking at my wallet and muttering "Oh""A wallet ! someone will take it " " Oh my God "
" I have to get it somehow " I came to myself and beat on the door with my fists. The door didn't budge, but the train hadn't started moving yet.
Then a middle-aged man who was in the train opposite got off, walked up to my wallet, and picked it up. He looked towards us. I made a sign to him" It's mine ! " One of the passengers said "Let's get him to pass it through the window." and another passenger opened the window. The man threw my wallet in through the window. The passengers passed it to me.
It was just a small event, but it made me realize the warmth and kind-heartedness of people.
I'm very grateful to them.

FM
On the 5th of January, I did recording for the program which is going on air on the 28th with my co-presenter, Yoshihiro Goseki. As soon as I got up in the mornig, I looked for material which fits the description " Unkown Masterpieces". It was easy to find something suitable in my house.
I picked up a few CDs, and left home.
The music I chose today were a flute solo, a soprano sax solo, and a dijerido solo and so on, and all their playing times are much too short, for example, 20 seconds, or 1minute and a half ! It was not enough to fill the program's time slot. I had to keep talking to fill it.
When I talked about the CDs, I struggled to think of things to say.
The sound of my breathing when I talked into the microphone was very noisy everytime, which gave Yoshihiro trouble when he was editing. We tried putting a handkerchief in front of the microphone when I talk. It worked better than we expected !
A hankerchief became a necessary item for our recordig.

A New Home Page
The picture of the dog on the cover page was painted by me.He lived with us until he died at 14 years old.
I spent a lot of time with him. He was my best friend. His name is "Ponta" I wrote a song for him when he died, "A song for a little tree"
I feel like he's alive in the music and on this homepage.
