Finally・・・
The new leaves create a soft green light. In this season, simply walking along the street makes me refreshed.
I've finished reading two books of short stories by Dickson Carr, "The Bone Collector"by Jeffery Deaver, and "The Things They Carried " by Tim O'Brien. Now I've started reading "Basket Case" by Carl Hiaasen. Recently I've been going into the city a lot when I have free time, because I look forward to reading books on the train.
I had a lot of concerts this week, so I'm a little tired, but I enjoyed all the concerts, because there were plenty of interesting things in each session - Bossa Nova, my original music, improvisation・・・
I used to feel a difference between playing improvised music and written music, but recently I've been able to take the same approach to both of them, and enjoy more freely than before.

Holiday
I spent the day at home today.
I wrote letters, listened to my recordings, cleaned up the kitchen, made rissoto with soup left over from yesterday's dinner, updated the page of "Concert Information"on my website, and tidied in the chest of drawers.
It was relaxing to finish up the house work which I can't do on the days when I'm busy.
I looked in the frige, picked up some potatoes, peeled them,then I got an idea what I could make.
I put the boiled potatoes, spring onions, cheese, milk, a little wholegrain rice, and anything else I feel like in a bowl, added some eggs, put in some salt and pepper, mixed them together, and fried them in a pan.
My friend taught me this recipe, she called it a "Spanish Omelette", and she put "Nattou"in it.
Then I made potage, by boiling halh a pumpkin, diced it, and pouring milk on it.
Recently, I've been enjoying cooking.

The cherry blossoms
The cherry blossoms are at thier best now, around my house, in the street,
and everywhere.
On my way to work in Eifukucho, I went off to "Ohmiya-Hachimangu" and
Wadabori Park, where I used to walk my dog when I lived around there.
The path along the river reflected the sunlight shining through the chrrey
trees, and some of the cherry blossoms were already floating on the water.

Haphazrd Melody : Improvised Solo Vocal with no accompaniment
On the 6th April, I took part in an event called "Haphazrd Melody : Improvised Solo Vocal with no accompaniment" planned by "Suppa".
Participants improvised a melody on the spot in five minutes each.
I got nervous as my turn was coming up, because this was the first time I've improvesed like this instead of playing the piano, but the time flew by after I got hold of the microphone.
It was a fun experience.

Is it a cold ...?
Is it a cold ...or could it be hayfever ?! I've got a chill and pain in my throat. I had a hip bath, gargled with tea, and inhauled steam of hot water with a few drops of lavender oil in covered my head with a bath towel. I also drank "Kuzu-yu", then I waited to see how it turned out.
Once in a few years, I get these symtoms.
I spent the day tiding my room and listening to recordings.
