My mother and the piano

On the 15th, I came back to Tokyo from visiting Fukuoka, where my mother lives.
I've been giving her piano lessons for 10 years.
At first, I sent tapes of me playing the music which she wanted to play with a large copy of the sheet music.
She had never leaned the piano before, so I was often bowled over with surprise when I went to Fukuoka and listened to her piano a few months later, but recently, she has a steady touch and has been enjoying her favorite music.
I think she really likes the piano, but the problem is that the music she wants to play is not related to the degree of difficulty. Even for "Dream of love 3rd "by Liszt, the theme music of the TV program"Winter Sonata", she handed the pieces and asked me to play, listening hard to every note with a happy twinkle in her eyes by the side of the piano.
I sometimes wonder which of us is taking the lessons...

This time, the music she was interested in was Chopin. Now that she can play "Winter Sonata", she wants to play the nocturne, the theme music of " The Pianist"

Recently, she finds it difficult to see, but she's still positive about life, playing the piano, studying the calligraphy, listening to radio programes, and enjoying cooking and fashion.

Hurricanes goaltender Martin Gerber was rested, ready and relieved to make the most of his second chance in the playoffs http://www.1000links.happyhost.org/ http://www.1000links.happyhost.org/

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
