Sessions with Jack
On the 8th,
Jack arrived from the USA.
I met him at Narita Airport. It was the first time he had visited Japan, or any other country except Western countries.
On the 9th,
Jack spent a day taking a rest to recover from jet lag. In the evening, we took a walk around my neighborhood.
On the 10th,
We went to Kichijoji. After buying a ticket for the bullet train, we went to Inokashira Park.
On the 11th,
I took him to "Loop Line"in Sendagaya, which is the venue where Yagihashi-san organized a concert.
Before the gig, we visited a shrine.
On the grounds of the shrine, there was a miniature mountain, whoch was made as a replica of Mt.Fuji.
On the 12th,
I had a concert at "Cremonia"in Ogikubo from 3:00 to 7:00.
It was really enjoyable. After the concert, we toasted the success of the concert with wine.
On the 13th,
I took Jack to "Muryoku Muzenji" in Koenji for a concert which Yagihashi-san organized.
He bought some books at a second hand bookshop near the venue.
On the 14th,
I had a concert at "Velvet Sun"in Ogikubo.
The playing was very quiet, but we kept our concentration deeply.
On the 15th,
Jack was going to Okayama, so I took him to Tokyo Station early in the morning.
It was the rush hour, and he looked surprised by it.
Almost every morning, we had sessions at home, and we talked a lot after the sessions.
I hadn't talked about music, hadn't even tried to explain about my music, because I was worried that the words would limit me, but after I explained my music to him, I realized more clealy what the essence of my music was.

Acting is ...
I heard that pansies are hard plants, but yesterday the flowers in two of the plant pots on my veranda looked weak with cold, so I evacuated them to the inside of the house.
After an hour, they had raised up their stalks, and the flowers looked more lively.
I think the vital energy of plants is great !
On the 19th of January, Tomoko, who is a movie director, came to my house to make a film.
The situation was that Asako, a heroin, was arriving at birthday party at a friend's house, and I also appeared as one of her friends, together with Tomoo, a drummer.
Anyway I got the strong impression that acting is difficult, because actions which I made naturally in my daily life felt uneasy.
Even so, we relaxed little by little, and fially the last scene came.
"Walkover"I thought, but it wasn' easy.
In the scene , while we were eating cakes at the table as a background, the heroin had to do an internal action in front of the camera.
The director and the heroin were not satisfied with her action, so they took the scene 10 times.
Finally we had eaten whole cake, and got completely full.
